Product resources and application guidance
Use the 4050RLA entries in these manufacturer references: medium-tack paper application tape with Release Liner Adhesion for medium to large lettering and graphics. Do not substitute another tack grade solely because it is also a Conform tape.
The technical sheet lists a 3.0 mil paper facestock, 4.2 mil total caliper and one-year shelf life. Conform supports wet or dry application, but the selected vinyl and substrate must also permit the chosen method. Test the actual tape, vinyl and release liner before production.
Cover the graphic with one sheet of tape without stretching it or trapping air. After the graphic has bonded, peel the tape back against itself at about 180 degrees. For printed graphics, follow the ink and film makers' curing requirements before masking; avoid prolonged or hot storage of masked graphics.
The linked family documents include other grades and manufacturer stock sizes. Use this listing's stated roll size; the documents do not change the supplied size or establish compatibility with every film.
