MetaGuard MG-X is a cylinder-cast soft PVC overlaminate matched with MetaWrap MD-X print film. The matched system is intended for vehicle graphics over compound curves and moderate recesses, subject to the manufacturer’s processing and application instructions. Its permanent clear solvent-based acrylic adhesive contains UV inhibitors.

Allow printed inks to cure and confirm suitability of the overlaminate for the print media. Follow the manufacturer’s cold-lamination and wrap-application guidance. Avoid overstretching the matched wrap system.

Use the matched print-film and overlaminate instructions together. Allow the print to out-gas fully; the wrap-system drying requirement takes precedence over a shorter general interval. Follow the laminator, dry-installation and family-specific heat/post-heating directions. Test the actual ink, substrate and process.
This is MG-X, not MG-X-M. The MG-X sheet names solvent, eco-solvent and latex prints and also refers to UV in its application section; do not treat that as approval of every UV ink or unrelated print medium. The MD-X guide’s modest-recess limits remain applicable.

Matched films and overlaminates
The manufacturer matches MG-X with MD-X white gloss wrap film, 54 in × 55 yd. Both matte and gloss options on this page have the same 54-inch width and 55-yard length as that film.
This link is for MD-X, not MD-XB. The exact MD-X guide’s modest-recess limits still apply; choosing a wrap overlaminate does not expand the print film’s capabilities.
These recommendations are limited to solvent, eco-solvent and latex prints. Confirm the actual print system before use; the film’s ability to accept UV ink does not establish compatibility with every UV-printed laminate system.
Follow both product sheets and the matched wrap-system guide. Allow inks to cure fully, install dry, and use the specified fitting and post-heating process. Test the actual ink and surface.
