Matte white, opaque calendered vinyl for compatible solvent, eco-solvent, UV and latex inkjet or screen-printed graphics. IJ39-20 has a permanent, high-tack pressure-sensitive adhesive for suitable smooth, flat and simple-curved surfaces, including specified low-surface-energy plastics and powder-coated paints. The film is 3.5 mil without adhesive and 4.0 mil with adhesive. Apply dry; the adhesive bonds on contact and is not repositionable. Test adhesion on the actual substrate and follow the current 3M product bulletin for printing, graphic protection and installation.

IJ39-20 is a permanent, high-tack film. Test adhesion on the actual substrate, including plastics and powder-coated finishes; a named surface type is not a guarantee for every coating or formulation. Apply dry, and do not treat the film as repositionable or removable.

The film bulletin lists 8508 gloss and 8509 luster as graphic-protection options. See 8508 / 8509 overlaminate choices. This recommendation selects those two finishes, not the 8510M option also listed on that page.
