• 3M cutting and weeding guidance (December 2024; PDF)

Match the selected color and finish to the bulletin. The color table distinguishes solid, metallic and transparent films; not every option has the same finish. Screen colors are approximate, so use a physical sample for color-critical work.

Test cutting and weeding with your cutter and artwork. Choose application tape for the exact film, ink and graphic protection, and follow the product-specific substrate and application limits before using the general installation guide. A 3M tape recommendation does not establish that another brand is interchangeable.

Service life depends on the film, printing, exposure and complete graphic system. A service-life estimate is not a finished-graphic warranty; a color listed in a reference is not a stock-availability guarantee.

If choosing Vista Yellow 085, confirm the color against a physical sample; it is not shown in this bulletin's color table.
