Blue self-wound polyethylene film with aggressive acrylic adhesive to use with conventional wooden framed screens. Forms solvent-resistant ink dam preventing leakage. Removes cleanly from mesh without leaving adhesive residue. Taping both sides of the screen withstands multiple washings.
Product resources and application guidance
Use the 2000 Blue Block Out entry in the selector: solvent-resistant polyethylene screen-blocking tape for conventional wooden frames. This is screen-printing block-out tape, not a vinyl-lettering application tape.
Nekoosa describes clean removal from frames and mesh and resistance to repeated washes. Confirm suitability with the actual screen, ink, cleaning solvent and process before production; the manufacturer does not give a universal wash-count guarantee.
The specialty-tape sheet also describes Pallet Protek and HotMask. Their pallet-protection and heat-transfer instructions do not apply to Blue Block Out 2000. Use this listing's stated roll size.
