MetaGuard 80 is a calendered vinyl overlaminate for protecting promotional prints, including point-of-sale, window and advertising graphics. It uses a permanent solvent-free acrylic adhesive and a clay-coated kraft liner. The family is matched with Metamark MD-80 print media.

The MG-80 technical sheet lists solvent, eco-solvent and latex prints. Manufacturer sales literature also lists UV, but UV suitability is not confirmed here. Do not infer UV-cured ink compatibility from UV inhibitors or from the print film’s own ink list; confirm the complete system before production.

Manufacturer-matched print films at this width are MD-80B white gloss blockout, 63 in x 55 yd and MD-81M white matte, 63 in x 55 yd. Select MG-82-160 matte or MG-85-160 gloss, both 55 yd long, for a like-length pairing. The separate -50Y options are only 50 yd long and do not cover a full 55 yd media roll. Use these pairings within the confirmed solvent, eco-solvent or latex system scope, with suitable flat surfaces and fully cured prints.
