MACtac PERMACOLOR Gemini XT clear is a double-coated mounting film for back-mounting photographs and digital graphics to compatible display boards. Aggressive rubber-based permanent adhesive on both sides provides a quick, strong bond. A white polycoated paper liner protects the adhesive and supports processing through cold-roll laminators. The clear 0.5-mil polyester carrier provides a transparent mounting construction. Supplied as a 51-inch by 150-foot roll. Prepare clean mounting surfaces and test the print-and-board combination before use. The February 2017 performance guide gives an up-to-one-year outdoor estimate, while the September 2026 catalog lists three years. Application and construction qualifications
Use for back-mounting prints to compatible boards. Clear is not a verified optical-grade claim or approval for face mounting. This is mounting adhesive film, not direct-print media.
The 0.5-mil carrier-only reference and the historical guide’s 3-mil carrier-plus-adhesive reference are different measurements. Neither is an established total-product thickness, and no adhesive thickness is calculated by subtraction.
A PP5600 guide line that instead names PP5000 does not establish face-mount approval. Do not interpret permanent/permanent labels as installation side-order instructions. Confirm the current construction and application requirements before production.

The guide is a dated back-mounting reference. Its recommendation that names PP5000 does not establish face-mount approval for PP5600. Clear is not an optical-grade claim.
