REDI-SET Vinyl Application Fluid

REDI-SET application fluid assists with the wet installation of compatible pressure-sensitive vinyl graphics. It provides temporary positioning time before the adhesive reaches the application surface.

Always follow the vinyl manufacturer’s installation instructions. Not every adhesive, film or surface is suitable for wet application, particularly certain air-egress and specialty vinyl products.

Vinyl Graphic and Adhesive Removal

Removing old graphics can involve two jobs: lifting the vinyl film and cleaning up adhesive residue. We carry Brothers Chemical Vinyl-Off and Adhesive-Off Pro in one-quart bottles. We also have a limited supply of Ghost-Off for reducing ghost images and oxidation after graphic removal.

Double-Sided Banner Hem Tape

Double-sided banner hem tape provides a fast alternative to sewing or heat welding for compatible banner materials.

Product specifications:

  • One-inch width

  • 50-yard rolls

  • Sold individually by the roll

  • Designed to resist UV exposure and temperature changes

  • Suitable for compatible indoor and outdoor banner applications

Test the tape with the exact banner material before production and prepare the surface according to the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions.

Remaining Avery Wrap-Care Products – Limited Inventory

Great Lakes Graphic Supply still has limited quantities of Avery Supreme Wrap Care products available from our remaining inventory. We no longer carry Avery as an active product line, and these products may not be restocked after they sell out.

Remaining products include:

  • Avery Supreme Wrap Cleaner for routine dirt, fingerprints and light contamination

  • Avery Supreme Wrap Power Cleaner for difficult localized contamination

  • Avery Supreme Wrap Sealant for adding a protective layer to compatible wrap film

Use these products according to the manufacturer’s instructions and test them on an inconspicuous area before treating an entire vehicle or graphic. Availability is limited to remaining stock.

Frog Juice Clear Coat and UV Protectant

Frog Juice is a multipurpose clear coating designed to protect compatible water-sensitive prints and graphics. The aerosol version can be applied over compatible digital prints when additional surface protection is required.

Test Frog Juice with the ink and printed material before coating a completed job. Apply it only with proper ventilation and follow all manufacturer safety, drying and application instructions.

Shipping restrictions may apply to aerosol products.

Number 2 Banner Grommets

Number 2 grommets provide reinforced attachment points for compatible banner material and other fabricating applications.

Listed products include:

  • Number 2 brass grommets with a 3/8-inch opening

  • Number 2 nickel-finish grommets with a 3/8-inch opening

  • Packages of 500 pieces

Use the correct grommet-setting equipment and verify compatibility with the banner thickness before production.

  • U Glu 1-inch by 3-inch adhesive tabs in boxes of 250

  • MACtac GS Series rubber bonding tape

  • 3/4-inch and 1-inch tape widths

  • 200-foot rolls

Surface preparation is critical. Test the adhesive on the exact materials being joined and verify the required temperature, load and service conditions before production.

Vinyl Application Rivet Brushes

Rivet brushes help work compatible vinyl around rivets, bolt heads and other small surface obstructions during graphic installation.

Listed sizes include:

  • One-inch rivet brush

  • Three-inch rivet brush

Use appropriate heat and application techniques for the specific vinyl. A rivet brush cannot make a film conform beyond its rated capabilities.

Sealit Pen Vinyl Graphic Edge Sealer

The Sealit Pen applies a quick-drying clear acrylic coating along compatible vinyl and printed-graphic edges.

It may be useful for:

  • Sealing exposed graphic edges

  • Compatible inkjet decals and thermal prints

  • Craft and specialty graphic projects

  • Areas where additional edge protection is desired

Edge sealer is not a substitute for correct surface preparation, compatible materials or proper installation. Test it before treating a completed graphic.

Application squeegees help apply vinyl graphics, premask, window film and compatible wrap materials while controlling pressure and reducing trapped air.

Listed products include:

  • 3M Gold Squeegee

  • Avery Blue felt-edge squeegee

  • Avery Silver nylon squeegee

  • MACtac felt squeegee

  • MACtac hard plastic squeegee

The Avery squeegees are remaining inventory and may not be restocked after they sell out.

Frequently Asked Questions About Sign-Making Tools

How do I choose the correct replacement plotter blade?

The correct blade depends on the cutter manufacturer, exact model, blade holder and material being cut. Blade angle, offset, diameter and holder compatibility are not interchangeable. Call 1-800-477-6275 with the cutter model and material if you need help identifying the correct blade.

Should I use a hard or felt-edge vinyl squeegee?

A hard squeegee provides firm pressure for many vinyl and premask applications. A felt edge or protective sleeve helps reduce scratches and surface marks on printed graphics, wrap films and other sensitive materials. The edge must remain clean and undamaged during installation.

Can REDI-SET application fluid be used with every sign vinyl?

No. REDI-SET assists with wet installation of compatible pressure-sensitive vinyl, but not every adhesive, film or surface is suitable for wet application. Certain air-egress and specialty films may require dry installation. Follow the vinyl manufacturer’s instructions.

What is the difference between Vinyl-Off and Adhesive-Off Pro?

Brothers Chemical Vinyl-Off helps soften vinyl graphics, wraps and decals so the film can be removed. If adhesive residue remains afterward, Adhesive-Off Pro helps remove that residue. Test a small area and follow the instructions on each product.

What can I use to reduce ghost images after removing vehicle graphics?

Ghost-Off helps clean oxidation and reduce ghost images on weathered surfaces after graphics are removed. Our one-quart bottles are original stock with the older packaging.

Is Frog Juice the same as a film overlaminate?

No. Frog Juice is a liquid clear coating used to protect compatible water-sensitive prints and graphics. A film overlaminate is a separate adhesive-backed sheet applied over printed media. Test Frog Juice with the exact ink and material before coating a completed job.

What is a Sealit Pen used for?

A Sealit Pen applies a quick-drying clear acrylic coating along compatible vinyl and printed-graphic edges. It can provide additional edge protection, but it does not replace proper surface preparation, compatible materials or correct installation.

What is a vinyl rivet brush used for?

A rivet brush helps work compatible vinyl around rivets, bolt heads and similar surface obstructions. Appropriate heat and installation technique may also be required. A rivet brush cannot make a vinyl film conform beyond the film’s rated capabilities.

Does Great Lakes Graphic Supply still sell Avery accessories?

Great Lakes Graphic Supply no longer carries Avery as an active product line. Limited Avery wrap-care products and selected application tools remain available only while existing inventory lasts and may not be restocked after they sell out.

Are additional sign tools available that are not listed online?

Yes. Not every tool, blade, squeegee, application accessory or quantity available to Great Lakes Graphic Supply is listed online. Call 1-800-477-6275 with the product, cutter model or application requirements so current inventory can be checked.
